The proof lies in the research done by Patricia McDaniel as published in the Women’s Studies International Forum. Her study showed a significant increase in women’s confidence after participating in a self defense course. The study’s findings also suggest that physically active women who already have some degree of confidence with their physical capabilities might also benefit by training in self defense. So if you want to reduce your fear of violence and rape while increasing your personal safety, all you have to do is enroll in a women’s self-defense training program. It’s that simple.
