DiAnn's Class Schedule
The following classes are taught at Greendale High School, Greendale, WI.
Registration is through the Greendale Park and Recreation Department.

PILATES PLUS
(High School Age and Adults)
A group-exercise based class that uses strength, toning and stability exercises from PILATES, YOGA, and TRADITIONAL fitness programs. Every major muscle will be worked to help you improve your muscle endurance, accelerate your metabolism and give you the body definition you desire.

Note: Your instructor will supply weighted balls. Or feel free to bring your own free weights or weighted bar.

INTRO TO SELF DEFENSE
(Grades 6 through 8, 2003-04 school year
High School Age and Adults)

This course is a hands-on training class in addition to being an aerobic workout. Participants will learn W.O.W.’s Safe-Chi Kata™ - a form based on psychological and statistical research pertaining to the most common attacks. There are three frontal attacks and four rear attacks with varying intensity levels. Pulling from street fighting techniques and various martial arts students will learn 19 essential defensive techniques. Participants with little or no martial arts experience learn through creative drills put to music. All students receive a fun, aerobic workout while simultaneously learning defensive responses.

  • Note: No equipment/gear required. Minimal contact. This is a co-ed class.

STABILITY BALL
(Adults)
Utilizing the stability ball, this workout focuses on the core-abdominals and back in almost every exercise. The ball provides challenges to traditional exercises (i.e.: crunches and leg extensions) in the areas of balance, resistance and flexibility.

Note: Participants provide their own stability ball for each class…no storage available.

Women Only Workout (W.O.W.)
SELF DEFENSE
(High School Age and Adults)
For the high school student, college-bound student, women who travel or any adult interested in learning techniques for personal safety while out-and-about. Focus on pressure point control tactics, breaks and releases, blocking and striking techniques, streetwise precautions and situational awareness.

KICKBOX-R-SIZE™
(Ages 16 and Older and Adults)
Men and Women

Even if you have never heard of Tae-Bo™, Combat Aerobics or kickboxing, you’ll love this program. It combines the wisdom of Eastern Self-Defense systems with the advancements of Western aerobic technology. The results are an enjoyable workout, toned muscles, self-defense skills and good habits to use for a lifetime.
